Spooncraft Foods was founded by Praneetha and Gurupriya out of a plain frustration: it was far too hard to buy breakfast made of real ingredients.
Why we started
Spooncraft Foods Private Limited was founded by Praneetha and Gurupriya out of a plain frustration: it was far too hard to buy breakfast made of ingredients you could actually name. Most of what filled the shelves was refined flour, sugar and colour, sold on a health claim.
So they built the alternative themselves. Everything sold under the TrigoTale brand is manufactured in-house in Gobichettipalayam, Erode — not bought in and relabelled. That is the whole point of the company, and it is why we can tell you exactly what is in a pack.
What we make
Eight lines of business, from retail breakfast cereals through to freeze-dried raw material for other manufacturers, corporate catering in Chennai and Bangalore, and healthy gift hampers. Retail products reach you through TrigoTale.com and Amazon India; everything wholesale runs through our team directly.
How we source
Our fruit and vegetables come from the Western Ghats of southern India, a range known for the quality and seasonality of its produce. Freeze-drying preserves up to 97% of the original nutritional value, against roughly 30–50% for conventional heat drying — which is why we invested in it rather than taking the cheaper route.
What we will not do
- No preservatives, and no artificial colours or flavours.
- No refined sugar in the ABC Nutri range — cane jaggery and dates instead.
- No maida, no corn, no added oil in our cereals.
- No sulphur or additives in our freeze-dried produce.
- No reselling. If our name is on it, we made it.
